
Individual, couple and family psychotherapy as well as one-off conversations (both within Sočutje and the Franciscan Family Institute) are conducted by prof. dr. Tanja Repič Slavič, Ph.D. in marital and family psychotherapy.
Prof. dr. Tanja Repič Slavič, Ph.D., has dedicated both her therapeutic and scientific-research work primarily to victims of sexual abuse, which was also the topic of her PhD thesis (Sexual Abuse and the Process of Relational Family Therapy). However, in dealing with the consequences of this specific issue, she inevitably regularly encounters and solves other problems as well.
Dr. Tanja Repič Slavič, Ph.D., is a full professor at the Faculty of Theology in Ljubljana (on the master’s program in Marital and Family Studies, on the doctoral program for Marital and Family Therapy, and on the specialised course program for Marital and Family Therapist). In addition, she works together with full professor dr. Christian Gostečnik, Ph.D, educating and training postgraduate students of Marriage and Family Therapy in therapeutic training sessions.
Dr. Repič, Ph.D., was also a lecturer at the School for Parents, which was led by dr. Christian Gostečnik, Ph.D.
In the field of scientific research at home and abroad, she mainly publishes articles on the topic of sexual and physical abuse, partner relationships, parenting, and religiosity in connection with psychoanalysis (see bibliography below) and participates in international conferences in the field of psychotherapy.
Prof. dr. Tanja Repič Slavič, Ph.D., is a member of the Association of Marriage and Family Therapists which granted her therapist, teacher and supervisor licences.
